The course emphasizes the study of the Bible, Christian Faith, History of Christianity and World religions with their Missiological implications in the context of a pluralistic world. MASTER OF DIVINITY (M.DIV)
This program focuses on strengthening the student’s analytical study of the Bible. It provides avenues for research and impetus toward Christian missions. The study enhances an integrative and interdisciplinary approach among the Biblical, theological, historical and religious fields, with involvement in practical aspects of life and ministry in the regional, social and cultural contexts of the sub-continent. It also ensures adequate foundation in the discipline of linguistics for the study of basic texts and provides Hermeneutic tools and skills for understanding and interpreting the context of ministry.

The Master of Theology degree emphasizes the study of Mission and Religion Philosophy. This is a two-year postgraduate-level degree program. This program is designed to equip persons for teaching in Theological Seminaries, to provide the knowledge and Skills necessary for meeting the needs of different forms of ministry and to develop academic proficiency for independent research.

DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (Ph.D)
The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program is designed for pastors and teachers who intend to teach biblical studies in biblical colleges, universities, churches, and majority world academic or ecclesial contexts. It offers expertise in the Bible (Old and New Testaments) and biblical theology while providing concentration in one of the fields of Old Testament, New Testament, or Biblical Theology. The concentration the student chooses generally coincides with the focus of his or her dissertation.
Admission Requirements: A candidate should hold a first or second-class in M. Div. / B.D / M.Th
Duration: Three to Five years

HONORARY DOCTORATE
Landway Theological Seminary welcomes the opportunity to receive recommendations and nominations of persons in the ministry who deserve the special recognition and honor of receiving the Honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree. However, each applicant must meet the criteria established by the Landway Theological Seminary Board of Regents which will also be based upon their evaluation of information provided about the candidates. The Honorary Doctorate Degree is conferred upon distinguished Pastors, Evangelists, Ministers, and other Christian Leaders or Public Servants who have made significant contributions in their respective fields or for the extension of God’s Kingdom.
An honorary degree or a degree honoris causa (Latin: “for the sake of the honour”) is an academic degree for which a university (or other degree-awarding institution) has waived the usual requirements, such as matriculation, residence, study and the passing of examinations. The degree is typically a doctorate and may be awarded to someone who has no prior connection with the institution.
The Honorary Doctorate Degree awarded solely for the accomplishments and contributions that a person has made. Landway Theological Seminary does not sell its Honorary Degrees. To apply for the Honorary Doctorate or to recommend a candidate, contact us. Should it become known publicly or otherwise that the degree recipient no longer represents the purpose and mission of LTS or is found to have serious integrity issues, LTS may withdraw the Honorary Degree.
